POINTS FOR THIS SUMMER SERIES ARE DIFFERENT THAN NORMAL AS IT GOES FROM 10 - 1. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR POINTS ARE CORRECT AS NEXT SUNDAY, THE 28TH AFTER THE SHOW, THE POINTS STAND, AS IS, AND THE ROPE BRONC HALTERS WILL BE AWARDED. IF ANY DISCREPANCIES, PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 2024

Contestants Must Pre enter and Prepay Entry fees to get in early draw.

Entries will still be taken the day of the show; but, will be an add on.

Thank you everyone for coming out today. New buckle series members - please read the rules and policies above. Important for EVERYONE: First, EXHIBITIONS, please be aware that it is ONE at a time in the arena and keep in a forward motion so we can move exhibitions along, in a timely manner. You can circle one time around the barrels, do not keep circling. No riding around the arena, or working your horse in the arena, while exhibitions are going on. If anyone has concerns with this policy, please come to me. If you are slow working, and coming out of the 3rd barrel, please ride to the fence so next person can start. If running exhibition pattern, let the gate person know so you can run back and the gate person can hold the next person back so you can finish, coming back in straight line back to gate (hope that makes sense).
Next very important!!! Do not complain to the one working the exhibition gate. He or She is enforcing the rules that I told him or her. Please respect this and please remember, we are there to have Fun and have a family atmosphere where everyone can enjoy doing what we love to do. Any type of drama is Prohibited. Leave it at home or at the entrance gate. If leave at entrance gate, pick it up on your way out! We have a fun filled environment where everyone (whether beginner or professional) is friendly, helpful, supportive, etc.
Third, thank you to everyone who helped today. I could not have done it without you guys. Thank you Kathy Dickason, James Dickason, Brooke Bates, everyone who helped set barrels. Members: one thing I am changing in the rules (and for this year) is that for tie breakers, I am going to use volunteering and how much is done. You can get them by helping set barrels, working the exhibition gate; helping me in the office (if I need it. I will announce, if so. Y'all know I usually need to work alone, in the office, because I have a system to get it all done), helping water the alley way and getting other arena prep done, helping me hang banners. Wherever, I need help. Just ask.
Now, for today, please message me, if you helped set barrels. There were a couple I am not sure of who they were.
Oh, and also, for barrel setting, if you cannot set barrels, you can have someone set barrels for you.
Fourth, I will have the points posted up by Wednesday. I have to go through all the paperwork/membership forms and get everyone organized on the list so I know who to give points to. I will start working on all this Monday. Well I think that is it for now. Next buckle series is April 21st; however, the next Melissa's Good Timin Jackpot (it is a jackpot only) is on February 4th. Hope to see y'all there.

Thank you everyone for coming out today! It was a great day and beautiful! Congratulations to Kathy Dickason for your Open 1D win. Thank you to all who helped: Nicole Blizzard for setting the 2nd barrel, David Gillett's son for setting the 3rd barrel, and James Dickason for dragging. If I am missing anyone else, please forgive me. Thank you Kathy Dickason for setting timers up, manning the office so I could attend church. Thank you David Gillett, with the Cowboys For Christ, for holding church for us this morning. Thank you to Wisty Watson for doing the concession stand and thank you to Samantha Weeks for driving up and taking everyone's pictures. Be sure to get with her for your photos this coming week Thank you to the one and only Erin Wetzel for coming down and helping set barrels. Thank you Nicole Blizzard and all the others that helped in the arena and set barrels. Thank you to James Dickason, Kathy Dickason, Con Nuanes and Emily Nuanes for helping me with the arena, setting up, help in the office, dragging, breaking down banners, etc. And, as always, thank you David Gillett for holding an awesome church service. April 28, 2024 - Jackpot Only - RESULTS
Thank you to everyone for coming out and spending the afternoon with me! We had a fun time with beautiful weather. I want to thank Wisty Watson for coming down and doing the concession stand. She always has a great menu and does a great job. Thank you to David Gillett, with the Cowboys for Christ, for giving an awesome church service today. It was a great message and one that I needed to hear today, for sure.
Thank you to James and Kathy Dickason for always helping me with the Arena prep and James with dragging the arena. Thank you Kathy for operating the announcer's stand for me with entries so I could attend church.
A great big thank you to Jason Coleman for helping with the exhibition gate. This was his first time and he did a great job. Thank you so much Jason.
Thank you Nicole Blizzard for doing the 2nd barrel and there was another person, I think, that helped on others and I am sorry for not knowing the name.
Next show is next Sunday, May 5th. It is the MGTJ Buckle Series #3.

Thank you to Kathy Dickason for helping prep arena and with the Announcer's stand taking entries so I could attend church.
A big Thank you goes to Mr. Parham for helping with the 1st barrel through the whole show. That was greatly appreciated!!

JUNE 15, 2024 - CANCELLED - NOT ENOUGH ENTRIES - This is an Open 4D Jackpot only - NO Sidepots, etc. - Exh 10:30 - 11:30 Open 12 noon - I will need help barrel setting please - STIPULATION OF THIS JACKPOT - I need, at least 25 prepaid, pre entries before 11 am Friday morning, June 14, 2024. IF don't meet this requirement, I will refund entry fees or hold till the next show which is June 23 (Sizzlin summer series - 1st show)

Thank you to everyone for coming out today and thank you to everyone for being nice to Ray who helped in the arena with setting barrels and exhibitions. This was his first time helping at a barrel race, etc and he told me he had a lot of fun today and said everyone was so nice. I am so greatful for having a great barrel racing group/family. Also, thank you to everyone who also helped in the arena setting barrels, James Dickason for dragging and Kathy Dickason for doing the timers, getting the barrels ready, watering the alleyway, etc. thank you to Lisa Thomas for coming up and helping in the office. Please keep Lisa in your prayers as she is going in for tests this week.
I will start working on the Summer Series Standings sometime tomorrow and get them started and posted. I have to go through paperwork and get all the members logged in, etc.

SUMMER SERIES INFORMATION - Run for a Bronc Rope Halter that will be awarded at the end of the series to each Open division winner. Contestants must run in 2 of the 4 shows to keep points in standings: Sunday, June 23; Saturday, July 13th; Saturday, July 20th; Sunday, July 28th. All information is on the flyer above.

No alcoholic beverages allowed! This is also due to insurance. If you are caught with alcohol (whether trying to hide in a cup, etc) you will be told to leave. There will be no refund of your entry fee and if you win money, this money is forfeited. This applies even if you have family members with you or friends with you drinking. Please be responsible.
Due to insurance requirements - All dogs must be kept on a leash and exhibitions are one at a time. There is no riding around in the arena while exhibitions are taking place and keep in forward motion.
NO DRAMA is allowed at the events. Please leave them at home, your barn, or at the gate. :) We are here to have some family filled, clean fun.
Please do not take the following personal, it is just me and how I work. When the show begins, only 1 more other person allowed in the announcer's stand with me, unless I call for one more. As you know, I multitask and to stay straight, I cannot think when I have a lot of other stuff going on in the background around me. I want a smooth, flowing show and that is what I aim for each month. This is a personal goal of mine. :)
